An AI model class refers to a category or type of artificial intelligence architecture grouped by its primary learning approach, structure, or function. Types of model classes are (some examples): Generative AI, Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL) and Foundation Models which are massive, broadly-trained models (like Large Language Models) that can be adapted to a wide array of downstream tasks.
